This special report, written and designed by Tudor Rose, documents the proceedings from a three-day global meeting on the topic of capacity development for disaster risk reduction. Our attendance at the meeting gave us the level of understanding of the discussions and conclusions necessary to compile the report, which was developed in close cooperation with staff from the United Nations Development Programme.
